The determination to include scoring, perforation, lamination, UV coating, and any variety of attachments allows a tag or label to be customized through completed piece.
Scoring, through an impression or indentation, allows for ease of folding. By perforating a tag or label, that area is more easily torn away from the remainder of the piece. To protect the printed information, matte or gloss lamination can be specified. And, UV coating provides resistance from the damaging effects of the sun.
The hole on a tag or label can be a standard patch, bar type, hole with slit, or patch and metal eyelet. Through that hole can be inserted any number of attachments including strings, hooks, elastics, plastic ties, or wires. Sure-stick double sided tape is another finishing option that assures ease of adhering.
Strings can be pulled through and knotted with loop lengths from 3.25” to 6.25,” looped with two loose ends left and in total string lengths from 12” up to 16,” or elastic strings from 2” to 3.5” in length with white the most commonly used but other colors also available.
Hooks come in deadlock, meat, and safety lock varieties. They are made from copper or stainless steel and can be coated or uncoated. Since specifying hooks requires detailed information about the application a tag or label is being used for, Badger works directly with the customer for these decisions.
A 12” length and choice of red or white is available for plastic ties. Badger also offers loose ties in bundles of 1000.
For wires Badger offers galvanized in 23 or 26 gauge, copper in 23 gauge, and stainless steel in 26 gauge and attached with a double end (with 10,” 12” standard, 14” or 16” total length of wire) or single end (with 6” standard, 7,” or 8” also available). Galvanized wire is also available loose in bundles of 1000.
